Sylvester - Associate - was born in Alexandria, Louisiana. She received her Diploma in International Relations from the University of Wales, Swansea in 1990, her BA from Louisiana State University in 1991 and her JD from Louisiana State University in 1994. Leah M. Penny - Associate - Ms. Penny is a true military brat, born in Lakenheath, England, and raised throughout Europe and the United States. She has deep roots in Alexandria, LA, and returned here after high school to earn a BA from Louisiana College in 1996. She attended Loyola University of law in New Orleans, earning her civil law JD in 2004, with a common law certification. Following a two-year clerkship for the Honorable F. Rae Swent, Retired, Chief Judge to the 9th JDC, Ms. Penny accepted a position with Faircloth, Viilar & Elliot, LLC, as both attorney and the firm business manager. Having several years experience as a plaintiff attorney, Ms. Penny now practices insurance defense for our firm. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Louisiana Bar Association, and the Alexandria Bar Association, having served as a board member of the Alexandria Young Lawyers' Board (2007-2008). Ms. Penny is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity (2003 - present), the Alexandria Inns of Court (2006 - present), and continues to serve as council member of the Central Louisiana Pro Bono Board (2007 - present). Leanne Lacaze Bridges - Associate - Ms. Bridges attended Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport, LA where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Business. While attending Centenary College, Ms. Bridges was the Assistant Campaign Fundraiser for former U.S. Congressman McCrery. Ms. Bridges received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law in 2008. While at Loyola, Ms. Bridges argued on the Loyola Trial Advocacy Program and represented Loyola at the AAJ Student Trial Advocacy Regional Competition. Ms. Bridges also served on Loyola's Trial Advocacy Board from 2007 - 2008. While at Loyola Ms. Bridges interned with the Honorable Roland Belsome of the State Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit and clerked for a defense litigation firm.
